GM better get to 200mph as the race is ON. Ford's claim on the GT500 topped out at 191.2mph on recent tests yet Ford had claimed it could make 200mph...hmm.

Outside of bragging on paper I'd never get a 150+mph car. Us Canadians still use highways at 100km/h (62mph) as our maximum so I prefer to concentrate on 0-60 times rather than top speed.

Kills me that the previous vipers only had a 3.07 rear axle ratio to the GM and Ford 3.73 with similar transmission ratios so Dodge could avoid CAFEs gas guzzling tax. I'd get a Viper and put 4.56 gears in it, to hell with top speed.

Totally agree, top end is over rated. Besides, if you own a truck from the early 70's, you're not really worried about getting over 85, it get's a little hairy with a 30" tires with heavy lugs.

Didn't know Canadians still use highways at 100km/h (62mph) as top speed .Must be bored out of your minds at that speed .We're bad enough at 70mph over here but there is talk off putting it up to 80mph soon .Step in the right direction .

I don't know what all the roads in the Great White North are like, but the few I've driven on, you really don't want to go much more than 100 k's on. Of course, I've never been on the highway's, but if the truckers are any indication of enforcement, I'm betting most are doing closer to 120.
