Recall : Jaguar models for toe links problem

The British based automaker Jaguar has recently announced a recall for several of its models because of a problem with the toe link which can be separated from the rear sub-frame.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of just 297 units of the Jaguar vehicles will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of a toe link problem. The NHTSA says that the toe link could end up separating from the rear sub-frame and because these are being used to control the alignment of the wheels, in this case the rear ones, the chances of losing stability will increase.

If stability will be loss, a crash will be almost imminent. The affected Jaguar models include the XF, the XJ and the XK from the 2013 and from the 2014 model years and, just like we said above, just 297 units will be affected. No reports of accidents or injuries have been reported related to this issue. The recall is expected to start before May 27 and the company’s dealers will replace the nut and washer assembly of the rear toe links, free of charge. For more details, owners can contact Jaguar at 1-855-524-8278 or the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
