General Posting Information

Considering the real-time nature of our bulletin board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. All information provided by the users of this bulletin board is considered to be experimental in nature and due to the intended use of the information offered, it is without any express or implied guarantee.

User assumes all risk and liability. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of the owners and administrators of FordForums.Com. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this bulletin board (and any owners of this bulletin board) and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

Commercial Posts

Fordforums is able to remain free to members only through the support of advertisers and supporting vendors and dealers. We would not have them supporting the site for long if we were to allow commercial postings by anyone else in the forums. For this reason we have instated a no commercial postings policy. The only exceptions, of course, are for the supporting vendors and dealers that keep the site free.

If you receive products for free or at a special discount from a vendor you must disclose that information when you make posts regarding that product. Any other type of vested interest that could cause you to potentially have a biased opinion must be disclosed.

We ask that you follow the guidelines below.

1. You may not post links to products or 'deals' offered by non-supporting vendors.

2. You may not have commerical links in your posts or signature to non-supporting vendor sites.

3. You may not post about cars you've seen for sale on dealer lots or products and prices that you've seen at commercial stores. One reason for this is that it's easy for commercial interests to register a name and act as if they are not associated with the business that they "advertise".

Feel free to discuss particular products and even to ask for advice on where to get it at the best price. If you read a post like this and want to share a non-supporting vendor's offering with the person placing the post you can do so by e-mail. This is also true of listings for cars for sale.

Any posts or links directing someone to a non-supporting vendor/dealer will be deleted without warning. This can also be grounds for removal of posting rights.

If it is brought to our attention that you are a company or business using the FordForums.Com Bulletin Board to promote your business or to sell or distribute products of a retail nature, you will be automatically billed with our standard advertising rates, one month per occurrence.

Unacceptable Posts

Do not make posts about religion and God, race/racism, abortion, highly sensitive or controversial subjects, any material which is exceedingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, extremely sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any form of solicitation.

Do not make pointless/useless posts (or "free posts"), roll call posts or any posts that is a waste of server resources and bandwidth. They are not allowed and will result in your post count being set to zero and the possibility of your account being suspended.

Do not make posts that incite arguments, or any post that turns to arguments and flame wars, etc... Posts of this nature will not be tolerated and can result in the immediate closing or deletion or editing of the post and the banning of the posting members account.

This is a PG-13 site. This means not to make any post that exceeds a PG-13 rating. If you do not know the difference, please log off this web site now.

We reserve the right to close or delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us directly at help@fordforums.com. We have the ability to close or remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that closing or removal of the post is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

When a post is locked or deleted, it is for a reason. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE make another post in continuation of the locked/deleted posts or your account is subject to being banned. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE make a new post demanding explanation of why a post was locked or deleted. If you would like explanation of a closed or deleted post, e-mail or PM the moderators of the forum in question. Open attacks against the Moderators or Admins that closed the post will be grounds for removal of your account from Fordforums.com
