Note there are some non Castrol TQ95 alternatives Shell-ATF XTR, Ampol-Autotrans Fluid BW, Valvoline- ATF type 95LE, BP Autran LE, Mobil ATF 95LE. The Valvoline Type 95LE one in particular is often used in OZ.

Just a little update, found the gearbox ecu and pulled the cables off it hoping to get limp home mode (stuck in third) and I get second (unless I only ever get 2nd and 3rd)

If I put the car in d and travel at 45mph then take my foot off the accelerator the car seems to go into neutral and coasts along, if I put it in 3rd and do the same the gearbox holds the gear and slows down with foot off accelerator

How can I drain the gearbox of all the oil to give that a go (assuming I can find the oil cheap enough to try this)

Got it on a launch x431 reader to, no faults found, live data shower the temp sensor was giving a good reading, would this be the temp sensor from water housing or temp sensor from inside box? If the temp sensor in box failed would that cause problems?

As most of the ATF will be in the cooler and torque converter the procedure after dropping the transmission cover and changing the filter and refilling it, is to remove the a hose from the trans cooler and idle the engine in park removing a litre at a time (i.e. use the transmission pump to pump it from the cooler, lines and torque convertor) and then stopping the engine and topping up again and continue until the oil be pumped out is clean fresh and new). You'll need about 20 litres. Amsoil used to have a PDF step by step guide for this but I can no longer find it on their website.

Found a document online will give the page view next time I'm on my computer, the document said, problem solving, gear stuck in 1 and 2 only s2 solenoid stuck open, where are s1 and s2 solenoid? Found a seller on eBay au but he's not responded to my email's yet sadly

S2 is under the valve body looking from below (i.e. above the valve body). The solenoid numbers are cast into the bottom of the valve body so the are easy to ID. Yes you need to drop the valve body to replace solenoids.
