83 With 302 temperature question

I just got this 1983 bronco with a carburated 302 auto with only 109000 miles on it. My question is, is it normal for the temp gauge needle to run close to the high line end of normal.

If it's not overheating or losing coolant I wouldn't be concerned . You could try replacing coolant temp sensor if it bothers you but make sure you get the correct one in case it may have been changed before . Not an expensive part and easy swap .

Thanks it's been quite awhile since I've had a vehicle that the gauge says normal instead of showing numbers.
