Need help

I have a 1971 Bronco that I just put a motor in. It has a 3 speed manual transmission. The transmission worked fine when I pulled the motor out. Now it won't go into gear when started. It does go into gear when started. Any thoughts?

" t won't go into gear when started. It does go into gear when started. " ??

If it goes into gear when engine off , must be clutch fault / not operating as it should for whatever reason .

Never, never, never give up.

Re: Need help

Is it the same engine you put back in or is it a different engine.

If its a different engine then there may be a slight mismatch in the flywheel/clutch area or the pilot/spigot.
