2000 ranger

Is there a way to change oil pan gasket without removing engine? Book says i have too.

Never done it on a Ranger but I'm betting you could pull the motor mount bolts and put a jack under the crank pulley and raise it enough to change it out.

Watch for pinch spots such as the radiator fan and at the transmission cutout area at the firewall.
