Yes the GT/GT-P are brillant looking cars and you obviously get more than an extra 30kw for the extra cash over an XR8. However, if your looking for something that is truely quick, go for the XR6T, add an APS stage II kit and it will cost you about $2.5K more than an XR8 sedan.
If I wanted a great "drivers" car then I would have brought a GT.
I optioned my T up with a few little extras and couldn't be happier.
Oh, and I guess when we talk about a "Claytons" performance car we should first define "performance".
