I am pretty sure the guy working on mine can't read, but the suit that was there to look over my warpped tray liner could... and as soon as he saw the Herrod badge, up went the bonet... didn't even ask if he could.

He did go out of his way to say "no problem with my Herrod mods"...

That's good mate, it's good if your dealer can understand the reason's behind your mod's and appreciate them as much as yourself.

This is the whole point, if the dealer doesn't report mods and something happens down the track, THEY get their @rse kicked.

Re: **Warning** FPV are taking notes

At least some leeway is prevailing here from ford, as mods such as cold air and exhaust done by a reputable outlet will make an engine work less for it's power, cutting restriction?

From Fords point of view however, you cant blame them for not warranting heavy mods such as s/c or altering all the ECU, they only test so far and have to pay for any damage that occurs during the warranty that occurs from stock parts

Re: **Warning** FPV are taking notes

Could it be that FPV are also looking for inspiration as to what products that they should resell as part of their "power up" program? Okay i'm thinking postiively :)

But its a good way to find out whats popular, what works....

Falcon Killer (if you believe what Ford Service Departments have to say about me)
AU II XR6 - October 2001 ~ December 2002 - RIP
BA XR6 - December 2002 ~ Soon to disappear if Ford CRC can't fix it....

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

That's another way of looking at it. Good one. Give the people what they want, eh?

You mean I have to take my LS1 out and put the BOSS back in before I get a service?
