Re: A bit more kick

depends how much further you want to go, the explorer will be good now but if you want to go to heads that are in the 175cc range or higher it is worth while going to a tfs street heat, edelbrock performer, but as i said it depends on how far you wanna go. even then if you go that big with the heads you will have to go a little bit bigger with the cam

std stroke, alloy heads, comp cam, tfs manifold, 75mm t/b, 70mm maf, 30lb inj, adj fuel press reg, twEECer

Re: A bit more kick

it's one big vicious circle, you have to get the combo matched to what you wanna acheive

std stroke, alloy heads, comp cam, tfs manifold, 75mm t/b, 70mm maf, 30lb inj, adj fuel press reg, twEECer

Re: A bit more kick

so with my cam a 165 chamber head (afr165's) and tfs would be good combo.
what sort of flow potential do gt40's ported have compared to afr165's.
This is all very confusing but getting clearer thanks to you guys.

Re: A bit more kick

this is the flow figures of afr 165's

max flow in 250cfm @ 0.600" lift
max flow ex 191cfm @ 0.600" lift

not sure about the gt40's but one advantage over the gt40's is that you can bump up the compression safely upto 10.5-11.0:1
