Re: 390 intake coolant passage?

Hi. I am looking for info on the back end of my 390 Fe intake manifold is a presses in fitting that connects into the base of the carburetor by a rubber hose. My question is: Is this a PVC valve. I have taken this fitting out and there is nothing inside of it.
