EDC 6090 E Heads

Hi all I have a set of 59 edc 6090 heads that came off a 390 that is in my Galaxie
Ive read up on the forums but all the info applies to the small chamber machined heads
Well the ones I have are 83 cc machined chambers and are in perfect condition.
Anyone ever seen these with this size chamber.
Problem is with 390 pistons reduces compression a bit.
Any thoughts out there
By the way as the name implies I am an aussie 63 1/2 galaxie 500XL

Re: EDC 6090 E Heads

There's several options, depending on how much you want to spend and how much you want to increase compression ratio. You just have to bear in mind that when you're using iron cast that you're compression ratio will be limited in comparison to modern aluminum. You never mentioned if you're running stock lifters/rockers, but even if you are, measure several times to make sure you're maintaining clearances. The link I attached is for a Chevy small block, but the ideas still apply.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
