Rod out of the bottom of the distributor
 
I just rebuilt my motor and when i put it back together the oil pump was locked up and the rod from the bottom of the distributor down to the oil pump broke and i was wondering if any one new how long and the diameter of that rod
the motor is a 390

Not sure of the accual length but they are all the same length for the "FE" engine. If your are running a lot of RPM's and don't want to have the problem of the rod braking again buy an ARP or any other hi performance rod.

If your oil pump locked up there may be some major debrois in there. The gear in the pump is more than likely trashed, so you might need a new pump also.
