streetmaster 390 info plate

Good Afternoon
I do not know if this is the correct forum so will start here.
I have a Shelby Cobra replica and the motor is labeled "streetmaster 390". Since I live in CA I have to get all sorts of paperwork to get it smog exempt. Right now I am looking for the id plate on the motor. Can someone tell where the id plate is located on that motor? It is about 6" off the ground and I am waaaaaay too old to crawl under it. I need the info or serial number on the motor and tranny so would appreciate any help available
Thanks
Pam

Re: streetmaster 390 info plate

Here's a good picture of it: http://www.thedirtforum.com/fordcast...rlocations.htm

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

I thought that California didn't have to smog on anything 1968 and earlier. If you cobra is a replica, and built separatly from the engine, then the engine was added later, that was how Californians would get around the smog test. Even if the car was just built.
That's my understanding..... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
