Radio and speedometer question

Hello, just bought a 69 XL. 429 4 speed convertible. Man, I'm digging it! Before I tear into it and cause any damage, I could use some advice on how to access the radio and speedometer. Neither one is working. It's really a very nice car and I don't want to hack or tear it up.
Thank you
Ben

Re: Radio and speedometer question

Speedo, check the cable first. It comes out of the fire wall, probably behind the brake master cylinder assembly, and down under to the tail piece of the transmission. First thing I'd check would be the gear in the tail piece.

The radio? Probably have to pull the face plate off the dash.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

Ok. Will due. Hopefully it's something simple. Just a few screws for pulling the faceplate or something to kinda watch for?

Re: Radio and speedometer question

It's pretty straight forward.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
