Re: New to Brisbane, need a mechanic

Hey guys. Had the car in at a random ultra tune place today ... (half an hour's walk back home in the rain kinda sucked but hey) and he tells me that it's misfiring because of the tappet ticking. I dunno how accurate this was as it was ticking well before it started missing but hey, i figured he would know better than me so I took his word for it. He also tells me my idle has been ajusted manually and this is bad because it has messed with the computer as your not suppost to adjust it manually. So I took the car and nothing has happened with it. On the bright side he didn't charge me for his having a look at it which was good.

Rollin, i'll PM you my number and stuff and if your free to have a gander at it any time we can hopefully organise something :)

Yea Brissy is heaps big compared to Bundy, and im loving it. Would love to meet up with some of you lads whenever somethin's doin. What happen's on the Friday and sat nights?

Also while im at it, can anyone give me details on good places to see about getting an apprenticeship. Are there any job agency's that specialise in this kind of thing?

Once again, thanks for the great welcome and hospitality guys, it is much appreciated.

Cheers

Mick

Wow how did this story end? Read this post that was 11 years ago. Must have finished apprenticeship by now maybe running your own business :) I am a newly a FORD owner in Brissy, also looking for a good mechanic, is it still Metro Ford or the one at Beenleigh, I am on Northside?
