Zl fairlane engine and transmission conversion

Inherited a shitty old zl fairlane, efi 6 cylinder that's in it has no balls and it's an auto so boring to drive. I have an AU wagon sitting in my front yard that has working engine in it and want to put it and a T5 from an AU (would have to buy this) to stick in it. I have read that it is possible to put the AU engine in an XF which has the same engine layout as a Zl so in theory should go in without to much trouble. My question though, is would it be worth it?

Re: Zl fairlane engine and transmission conversion

Well, is it because you like the car or just wanting something to drive. "Worth it" is often in the eyes of the builder.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
