Canadian to US Mustang cluster swap help

I bought a Canadian version 2003 v6. For my daughter's first car... I wanted to swap the cluster from that to a standard US version (Mph) not up or down just v6 to v6.... Do you know if this is possible or will it lock my car with the security measures if I try and swap them? If it did would swapping the old one back in unlock the security?

Thanks very much.

The pats module is attached to the gauge cluster so a cluster swap is a no go unless you can swap the pats module from the cluster thats in it now to the new cluster. However you can get around this by either having a ford dealer reflash the new cluster to the car (if they are willing) or get a tune and disable pats.
