Leaking water??

Yesterday I removed roof rack from my 04 Navigator, went thru a car wash (I did put the screws back in) and then I put the rack back on.

It was raining all day but later at night water started leaking into the car from far left side on the sun visor (where the two screws are) and from drivers side a-pillar close to the handle.

So I didn't put the roof rack back on properly (maybe it's shifted left/right a milliliter or so) or should I put some kind of sealer on the screws/bottom of the roof rack before putting it back on?

I'm also thinking that maybe the car wash got some water in, but between the car was and water starting to leak (it's not that much) passed a few hours, and all that time I was driving in the rain.

Any ideas?

Re: Leaking water??

Put some silicone on the screws before you tighten them down. That'll solve the problem.
