1967 XR FALCON 500 ex police interceptor???

Gday,
i was wondering if you might know how to tell if a april 1967 XR Falcon 500 289 V8 interceptor is Genuine?
This is Cruise Blue ,289 V8, Heavy Duty Auto & suspension ,HighFlow AirFilter ,sits lower than normal XR but all original except for Holley 4brl carby.
any help appreciated.

search the vin #. It will tell you everything you need to know.

to cut a long story short yes check the numbers, plus no 500 (right up to the XA) ever came with the v8 as standard fare. that was reserved for the GT.
