Ford Escape Hybrid Coming in 2019 as Automaker Commits to EVs
With plans to roll out 13 electrified vehicles over the next five years, Ford is beginning to truly commit itself to fuel-efficient cars, SUVs and crossovers.
The first of these vehicles to arrive will be hybrid versions of the Ford Escape and related Lincoln MKC, which are due in 2019. Hybrid versions of both the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator should be unveiled around the same time, which will be followed by hybrid versions of the F-150 and Mustang in 2020. According to Automotive News, the automaker has invested about $4.5 billion to bring the 13 EVs and hybrids to market.
