Just wondering if anyone could help me, looking at buying a 1970 XY falcon 500 ute. Was just resprayed 18 months ago, has a new fairmont front end and is running a 302w. Is on duel fuel but gas tank is out of date but might just need restamp, possible replacement or do away with it? Engine looks to be in good nick but was curious as to possible costs of rebuild? any help as to what i should be looking at roughly paying, would be much appreciated? As well as any other info. Where Abouts Is It, Depends On Heaps Of Stuff, Rust Being The Main Concern, How Much Bog Is Under The Paint, Auto Manuel, Diff? Is It Original Or Moded.[/Just been resprayed, looks the goods but as you know its hard to tell. Its a 4 speed toploader, 9" diff. His replaced the front end with a fairmont front and replaced everything up front shockers springs etc. his also put new bucket seats out of another model in which im told hasnt had an engineers report. also just found out his snaped the cable to the speedo and speddo is no longer working. other than that just a couple of small things. Plan to do plenty of work to her and cant wait to rip in just a bit cautious and would really appreciate any advice.
