So I have a question in regards to my 351w intake manifold vacuum set up on my 1973 Mercury Montego. So I recently bought a new after market high rise intake, and I was looking over my stock 2 barrel one and noticed that the vacuum tree thing on the back of it that goes to the brake booster and a bunch of other vacuum lines that go to all kinds of things (blocked off one cause that one went to the distributor and the new distributor only has one vacuum port for the carb) and I was wondering if this vacuum tree thing, I don’t know the exact name of it, but if it would go into the port that is shown in the center of the new intake manifold picture. I assume it would because it’s coming from some sort of air port, but I’d like to see if someone can give me some insight on this before I install it!

If you don't have the room for it to be straight up, you can buy a street elbow to throw it 90°.

That’s exactly what I did, had to buy an elbow piece with the brake booster end and then another end for the rest of the vacuum lines. Thanks everyone for confirming what it was!
