Ok I Ive replaced the following:
Float
Fuel filter
Fuel pump
But still at the initial engine start I have to jam the accelerator to the floor and keep it there until the truck bubbles then roars alive. Then after about 5 minutes of running she runs like a champ. Why do I have to do this everytime? Is there something I’m missing except it just being old. The previous owner only drove it 8000 miles a year since 1986 so she’s only got 105k original miles on her.

Sounds like your choke isn't functioning. When it's still cold, what's the position of the throttle blade when you kick the accelerator?

Forgive me I’m just getting into cars. I could probably google this question, but where would the throttle blade be and what position should it be in?
