I have a 1997 2.3l XLT Ranger that will not start. I replaced plugs, wires and coil packs but starting problem was prior to the tune up. Watching utube videos the next item to replace is the Ignition Control Module which I bought. The problem is that I cannot locate that part on my vehicle even though partsgeek says it fits. Any help would be apprciated. The ICU is not mounted behind the AC compressor. Not mounted behind the battery. Thanks Dale

Hello, My name is Randall. I will do my best to assist you with your question

The ignition control module is integrated within the powertrain control module and is no longer a "stand alone" component.

The PCm is located on right side of firewall , under the hood and slips through firewall and held by a couple bolts. Will have big plug going to it. It controls all ignition
Thank you for sharing your knowledge conserning the ICM. I am returning that part today. Have a blessed day. Dale
