Okay, I seem to own a dinosaur. I have a 2002 Ford e250 5.4l dedicated CNG van. For its year and design, it's low mileage, at 127,000. I currently have a code showing low fuel rail pressure, but it's not. I've had a guage on it as I've driven it, and it's holds pretty steady at 95 psi. So, bad fuel rail pressure sensor. But this model uses a sensor that is no longer available, except from China, at a cost of $640.

What I'm looking for is a work around for this. I can connect a permanent guage for dash display for fuel rail pressure, but I need to trick the ECU into getting a proper signal. I have the entire service manual, along with wiring ( diagram for my vehicle, but what I don't have is the knowledge of what signal the ECU is looking for. I'm thinking I should be able to wire a resistor into the connector to simulate the sensor. But what resistor?
Any thoughts?
