Has anyone seen this issue on a 2002 Sable. The instrument cluster lights are intermittent. It appears to be related to temperature. After time I can usually smack the dash and they will come on. However, if the car is still cold then I cannot get them to come on. Sometimes they will just come on after time. Is there a timer possibly that may be causing the issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue except it's just one bulb - and its intermittent over the period of about a year. It went out for 2 months, came back on for 6, and is now back off.

what gives?

I have the same problem with the dash lights on a '02 Taurus. Please post if you find out what is causing the problem. I'll do likewise.
