Alldata says there is no cabin air filter for this vehicle, but it is
in the service schedule.

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks!

Ford factory WSM states that "The air distribution system of this vehicle
cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter". That's about as close to a cut
and paste as I'm comfortable with.

There are many things automotive that are designed to be like panty-hose....
one size fits all..... this has proven to be untrue for panty-hose and it is
also untrue for service schedules. Service literature is becoming an
electronic "cut and paste" affair with the cutting and pasting done by those
better at cutting and pasting than those with any automotive knowledge. Add
that consumers often overlook disclaimers such as "where equipped" or
similar statements.

In either case, without viewing the document and reading it with lawyer-ese
precision, I can't comment further.

When in doubt RTFM..... this is an acronym roughly meaning that one should
avail themselves of their owners manual (likely the single most expensive
UNREAD book ever printed). If your owners manual doesn't include any
notations about a pollen air filter, there is a very good chance that you
don't have one.

This fantastically useless little number will include un-necessary info like
"how to get into 4WD low".... "how to disable the belt minder".... and what
to do if things aren't working right.....
