The problem I'm having after my transmission fluid change, new gasket and filter is the transmission sounds loud like a big truck taking off. It shifts fine and fluid is right where it needs to be. Any ideas ?

I hope someone has more info, I am at a loss. My guess is that the filter was not pushed up all the way up to seat and you are hearing fluid suction around the pan.

As Bajarider suggested it can be caused by the filter not being seated right and the pump sucking air.

So, to answer everyone at once. Yes, I took off the old O ring for the filter, and yes the new filter was seated properly. No there is no air sucking sounds. Maybe a clogged line ?

There are no lines to clog. Common sense says it has something to do with the fluid and filter change. I would recheck the work and the filter. What brand filter did you use?
