The AC on our 2009 Mariner (2.5 Liter) is not cooling. I checked the refrigerant and it was low and have recharged it but it is still not cooling. The compressor does not appear to be kicking in.
What things do I need to check, before replacing the compressor? Thanks.
Let me ask a few basics first, did you charge to the suction while running? If pressure went up, but the clutch never kicked in, you may have a safety holding it out or blown a fuse. If there is power to the clutch, you may have a failed clutch. Knowing the pressures on the high and low side would be handy as well.
