My buddy owns a 2010 F150. He currently has over 130k miles on it and has a question. He has heard that if you do not regularly change the transmission oil to not do it. He states that he has spoken to a few mechanics that have said not to change the oil if you have never changed it. That at this point, if he does decide to change it, that there could be some gears slipping. I personally have never heard of this. Is there any truth to this? I recommend he flushes the transmission, changes the filter and obviously put new fluids in it. Should he or shouldnt he change the fluids?

Ya...exactly my thoughts....had someone else state that their dealership has policy not to change prior to 150k if it the 1st time they are doing it...and yes, they don’t slip, I thought the same after I clicked “post”.
