We've been having an issue with our 2015 Explorer where the computer senses a variety of issues and effectively shuts everything down. Displayed are the following:

Low engine oil pressure
Engine coolant overtemperature
Service AdvanceTrac
Check Engine Light

Simply disconnecting and reconnecting the battery resets everything and allows me to start the car. This has happened 3 times randomly over the past month or so. I don't have a code reader so the only way to diagnose would be to have it towed to the dealership when it is experiencing this issue, as resetting via battery disconnect clears the check engine and associated codes so driving it there would be fruitless. The car is not overheating, it just thinks it is.

I'm hoping someone here can point me toward a malfunctioning sensor or something that could be the culprit. Waiting for it to happen again just to have it towed to the dealer at some random time isn't my favorite option at this point...

You need a code reader. You can get a basic one for under $50 these days.
