I've taken my vehicle to a Ford dealership five times as the battery dies if it has not been running more than two days. Had the battery replaced twice, the last time, they shut the mother board down. My car started, however, I let it sit for eight days, took approximately 25 minutes to jump it. It's back at the dealer ship.

You have a parasitic drain on the battery, with today's added features, they can be difficult to pin down. Particularly if it's a module that lights back up after the car's been off.

If you have an improperly installed hitch(light and braking wires to be specific) or if there's corrosion or damage, a short to ground can occur. I'd go with an improper install, though, as the wires should all be dead when it's just sitting.
