Oops we found the problem it's us! Hahaha, the Air-conditioner or Heater must be in medium, low or off not on full. The front wheels must be straight. Not turn, like your going to slow down to make a turn or stop, and then turn with the front wheels turned. There are about 15 conditions where the Auto Stop/Start will not engage. This is for safety. I do like the feature. It will not engage in very slow stop and go, like at a drive through fast food, with cars ahead of you doing stop and slow go....

It seems that the auto stop works, but it seems sporadic. My son-in-law, Daughter and myself have come across this problem. We come to a complete stop, keeping our foot on the break, but sometimes the engine keeps running. We have turned it off sometimes on freeway stop and go, but on city driving we keep it on.
Has any one had the same problem? Are there any Ford warning bulletins on this?Are we doing something wrong the way we stop?
