Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator SUVs due to an issue with the 360-degree camera. The defect: in affected vehicles, the 360-degree camera video output may fail, which would prevent the rearview camera issue from displaying. The hazards: video output failure can lead to a non-functional rear-view camera, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. Components: 360-degree camera and related components. Affected vehicles: vehicles were not produced in VIN order, but the recalled part was put into production on October 19th, 2018 and was taken out of production on May 2nd, 2023. Number of vehicles affected: 80,314 vehicles. The fix: a remedy is currently in development. Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on June 26th, 2023.
