Hey guys
I'm thinking about doing the exhaust and extractors on my XF ute with a 250 cross flow carbie, Would it be beneficial at all? Has anyone got a sound file of a 250 with a nice exhaust please? What would be a good exhaust to get, 2.5" with what muffler/s?
Thanks, I appreciate any help I can get.

Dunno the full details on the exhaust on the XE wagon i bought recently but it has extractors and a larger than standard exhaust, looks about the same or a bit bigger than the exhaust on dads stock AU. Anyway at idle and low revs it rumbles nicely, people keep asking if it's an 8 so i'll take that as meaning its good. At higher revs it makes enough noise to make an asshole of your self late at night going through rich suburbs (if thats your thing :) ). It has a single muffler, dunno about brand/type doubt its anything special. Really I'm more interested in the torque gains from such a system and for a car thats older than i am it goes pretty damned well and tows a hundred kilos or so like the weight aint there. Basically unless you're looking to mod it more I reckon you'd be perfectly happy with the results from cheapish set of extractors and a 2.5" exhaust.

Cheers,
Neil
