Apparently a guy in Europe was fined $280 000 for a speeding infringment recently. :wtf2:
In his country of residence, speeding fines are linked to how much money you earn. Unluckily for this guy he was a millionare, and the fine represents a percentage of his income.

Hows that for a :nk:


And people here think they got it bad with a coulple hundred dollars


When my Brain starts working again, ill post which counrty it was

Repost, this happened about this time last year, and the man is question was a financial officer of a company in finland I think. For some reason (read tax dodge), the company "loaned" him a large amount of money at tax census date. After the census date, the money was transfered back to the company. However a few months later, so the story goes, he got nicked for high speed, and they based the fine on his net worth at census date

Finland sounds about right.
I heard it on the radio today...

Rich peopole are usually a bit stingy, so imagine when he got that

I remember hearing a couple of stories like this...one guy who was pulled over was the head of Nokia I think....and boy did he get a massive fine!
