I own a 2000 Ranger with a 3.0 automatic. I have installed a computer chip from Super Chip and FLow Master Exhaust (two chamber) and a K&N air filter. These simple modifications have increased the performance DRASTICALLY (for the better).
I put this out to all to see what works for them and I am always looking for ways to IMPROVE PERFORMANCE and looking forward to swapping ideas.

With the SuperChip installed, did you have to go to a higher octane fuel? Was the gain in perf worth the $200?

I saw an auction on EBay for phonelic spacers. Has anyone tried that?

well there are some headers out there for the 3.0, other than that it sounds like you have it all. there isn't much out there for the lil' 3.0. if your still not happy, do what i did and drop a V-8 in it. you won't be disapointed.

Thats what i did too, Just didn't feel like messing with it and then she blew so i dropped a 5.0

SUPER CHIP AND HIGH OCTANE

With the Super Chip you will need to run 91 (93 octane at the pump) octane at a min. The biggest difference is with the shifting pattern in the tranny (really impressive). It will raise your idle approx 500 rpm and raise your horsepower by +15. In my opinion it is well worth the money. I work 75 miles from the house and it does get expensive so I take it out during the week and run 89 octane a install it on the weekends (install takes about 10 min).
In my opinion it is well worth the money!
