'kay, I tried 'just a valve seal job' on my '77 LTD, 351 Modified - and of course I'll now need a ring job as well. Can anyone tell me what kind of machine shop work will need to be performed (for starters) on the heads and block?

Also - how comprehensive a rebuild kit should I look into? Do the whole thing or will a ring kit and some lifters cover it?

...eninge's in great shape (from what I've examined), seems to just need new 'crosshatching' in the cylinders and new rings, but I'll get the heads and block tested once I pull em out. I'd hate to pull it all out, though, and not improve every piece I can.

it would depend how long u want the engine to last, i only gave my ea a re-ring seeing its just my daily car.
