there were no 5-speed V8

the only manuel V8 thunderbirds were the SVE Birds, they were not even 5-speeds but 6-Speeds with a blown 4.6 4v!!! dont bother looking for one cause you wont find them, they only made 5 and they cushed 3 of them, there are still 2 lurking in some warehouse in the motorcity.

V8 5-speed

If you really want a V8, 5-speed tbird, go to www.tccoa.com and look into the tech articles section under trannnies, there is an article in there telling you exactly how to make your auto into a 5/6-speed, if you have questinos go to the swap or tech bbs ask for V8THUNDER, Jim Metcalf, or PapaJohn, they all did the swaps, and can answer your questions.

Yes, there are a few...

In late 1992 Ford built 5 T-Bird with the 5.0L V-8 and a 5-speed manual transmission. They were sold to Boudurant's school in AZ.

These cars were built, then the transmission were installed later.

Keith is correct. No production MN12's carry a V-8 and a manual transmission. That would have hurt Mustang sales.

ALL 4.6L T-Birds and Cougars are equipped with the 4R70W automatic. The SC's '89-'95 have a Mazda manual or the AOD ('89-'93)/4R70W ('94-'95).
