well soon, i'm going to be startin getting my tbird back on the road. I was thinking about putting the 5.0 + T5 combo, but thinkin about switchin to the AODE. My question is the AODE and the AOD are physcially same correct? and I will be able to make it a floor shifter with no problems besides find the interior parts??:nuts:

Nope, the AOD and AOD-E are not similar. Same family, but there are tons of differences. The AOD is fully hydraulic with a mechanical lock-up TC (3rd and 4th gears). The AOD-E is electronic controlled with an electronic lock-up TC. How are you goint to control it? Don't say Baumann.

I would stay with an AOD, but a worked one.

i was actually thinking of using a computer and harness from maybe a 94-95 Mustang. it was just a thought. I thought it would be nicer to have it electronically controlled. But physcially are they the same tranny???
