I recently went to the trouble of swapping the dying 3.8 v-6 in the 85 Mustang that I bought for a 5.0 from a 84 Crown Victoria. The whole project has turned out to be adrenaline rushingly successful except that I can't get the engine to run cool. I got the high efficiency triple core radiator that comes on the 5.0's, the timing is at 10 btc, vacuum is great through the rpm range, so I am getting proper advance, I even actually removed the thermostat for diagnostic purposes but it still runs hot. I can flush water easily through the engine and when it is cool, I can run it without the radiator cap on and it is obviously pumping the water well. Help!!!
