I feel like I had asked about this before, but I'm asking again. So, the cluster fuel gauge is busted, and I added an aftermarket gauge mounted on top of the dash. However, having trouble determining where to wire it. I connected it to what I believe to be the correct wire to the cluster gauge, but I don't think that was the best option, as I think that's voltage before the sender so it won't provide anything useful to anything but the cluster gauge.

So where would be an idea place to tap into the sender signal? I assume it would be somewhere along the ground path for the senders in each tank. Is there an ideal common ground for both tanks to use? Or would it be best to tap into each tank's sender ground and return to the aftermarket gauge?

It's been a bit tough trying to determine this as this is a carbureted 460 and the wiring diagrams I've found seem to favor small block EFI setups.
