I need help trying to figure out how to swap my poor 302 with a 351m.I understand that the 351m is a big block and is 29 1/2 inches long, whereas the 302 is I think 27 1/2 inches long. Will I be able to bolt the 351m in and connect the drive shaft correctly or what? Please some one help me with any info you can spare. :driver:

The 351 is a small block only 400+ is considered a big block, and it should just go right in with no problem. And the driveshaft should be no problem also. Because these cars came with two engines the 302 and 351. So swaping is no problem between the two.

The 351c is not the same block because the parts do not interchange with the 400. The 351m is the same block as the 400 but just destroked to get that 351ci engine. The 351M was made to replace the 390. Now you have two things you can do about the fuel pump. One is to not use the electric pump and stay with the mechanical. Or two is to go get a pressure regulater that will control the pressure of the electric fuel pump to work with the carb.
