Does anyone know if a 9" diff from a ZH Fairlane will fit straight into an XB Falcon sdn??

Straight in, no worries. Tailshaft from Fairlane will be longer, so make sure the uni on the XB one fits the 9inch.

There's only 2 different width 9 inches in locally produced Falcons and Fairlanes. XY width and XA width. The XA ones are wider.

That bloke gives sh!tty advice. You will also need the handbrake cable from a xc /xd falcon/fairmont with disk brakes . The XB disc set up is not the same. Also XC/XD type with BW diff/ disc brakes will work.
