I'm currently running a 3.7:1 lsd, 28 spline 9" in my 460 / C6 powered coupe. I'm wanting to go down (taller) in the dif ration, probably to a 3 or 3.25:1 in to drop my engine rpm at speeds and better capitalise on the BB's torque.

Instead of wearing the cost for a new center, I was considering buying a gear set from VPW and changing my center's ratio. I've never done much work with the centers on 9"'s before (besides the obvious center changing, axle / bearing replacement)

- Does the clutch pack need dissasebly to remove the crownwheel gear?
-Is there much involved in dissasebling / re-assembling / setting up the clutch pack?
- Anyone know of any good internet sites / texts with decent instructions on doing this kind of job?

Thanks.

What are you doing with the 3.7 ratio? I could help you out with a 3.00 center.
