Greetings!

We have a 91 Sable wagon with 160K miles on the clock.

The engine has been replaced with a remanufactured engine and the tranny was completely rebuit about four years ago.

The engine and tranny combo have about 15K to 18K miles on them after their replacement\rebuild.

Here recently, the car has been having a harsh "stutter" or "stumble".

This happens after the car has been driven a while and happens around 25MPH. Usually when I let off the throttle and then step back down on it.

I will let off the throttle, then step back down and all is fine once again.

Lately, the tranny sometimes has been staying in first gear too long before shifting to second and sometimes will have a problem from second to first where it will shift abruptly.

There has been two times now where the tranny would come disengaged while driving.

I sure hope this doesn't mean that the tranny is going out a second time.

Thanks!
Scott
