My son has a 93 Taurus with a 3.0 engine. It has developed a hesistation when you accelerate. It is especially bad accelerating from a stop. We are getting codes showing both O2 sensors bad. However I am skeptical that they may not be causing the problem. I had a similar problem on my 92 Sable and it was the MAF sensor, but his car isn't getting any codes for the MAF sensor.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Well,

I think I have figured out the hesitation problem on my son's 92 not 93 Taurus. It seems that his air filter was extremely dirty (as in nearly clogged). Also the throttle body was very dirty. I replaced the air filter and cleaned the throttle body with an aerosol throttle body cleaner and the hesitation is gone!

He just purchased the car and apparently it has been a little neglected.
