Daughter's 95 escort has gone nuts. A couple of days ago she complained that the blower wasn't working. I told her to jiggle the wires by it and see if it worked. It always worked on my 92 escort. She did and it did. Now it doesn't work, and the power windows and wipers don't work either. I have checked the fuses by the driver's door and in the engine compartment. All okay. Checked for power at fuse bos by driver's door. No power coming in to the fuses for the wipers or the windows. Jumped power to fuse outlet and could get driver's window to work. When tried the front passanger window a 30 amp fuse blew in the engine fuse box. Did same for wipers and could get them to work. Nothing seems to work for the blower. Checked for shorted/burned wires around passanger door and found nothing. Checked the blower plug and found that it appeared to have overheated. Tip of plug was slightly melted and metal prongs do not look right. Was at the local salvage yard and checked other escorts (92 to 95) and found that 6 of 8 blower plugs appeared to have over heated. Is this a problem others have had? Any ideas? Car drives just fine except for those three items.
