My son's car, a 97 taurus, last night the power window would not go back up from being all the way down, I would hear the click of the relay and that is it. Also, at this time the courtesy light would not go out when you shut the door (don't know if it's related). Today he said he got the window to go up, and when he got out of the store, the window was back down again. I really need some help here as a single mother of a 17 year old. thanks.

You know, the more I read, it sounds like the neutral safety switch, which I replaced only 3 months ago! Could it be bad again?

All the problems I've had with the power widows were fixed by disconnecting the plug at the motor and plugging it back in. Loose or corroded but it's fixed two of them.
